Air/air cooling systems
Use and application areas
- Electric motors and generators, converter systems.
- Air preheating using exhaust gases or exhaust air.
- Heat recovery systems in process engineering.
Different tube shapes and tube arrangements are provided depending on the performance parameters:
- Round tube with offset tube arrangement.
- Round pipe with aligned pipe arrangement.
- Flat pipe with aligned pipe arrangement.
Compact design with high transmission capacity and low pressure losses thanks to flat pipe systems.
Heat exchanger design
The arrangement of the tube sheets (e.g., “W arrangement”) allows the required performance and pressure losses to be achieved even with limited heat exchanger dimensions.
The tubes are cast into the tube sheets using a special casting compound or mechanically secured in the tube sheets by means of an expansion process.
Tube materials according to operating conditions, e.g.:
- Aluminum alloy.
- Brass and special brass.
- Copper-nickel alloy.
- Stainless steel or steel with coating.
Design of cooling systems
Equipment according to customer requirements, complete with:
- Recirculation fan including motor.
- Cooling air fan including motor.
- Filters for recirculated air and leak air filters.
- Filters for cooling air.
- Silencers for cooling air fans.
- Mounting plates for vibration-damped installation.
- Monitoring devices for pressure and temperature.
- Power control.
Cooling systems designed and tested in accordance with the operator's safety requirements, e.g.:
- IP54 / IP55 / IP56 / EX protection.
- Special design for offshore operation.
